Maghera Primary School is a caring,friendly community school, where we educate and develop each child to their full potential in order to meet the challenges of life.

Maghera Primary School opened in April 1967.  Pupils attending the school come from the town of Maghera and the surrounding area.  The school is a rural school in the heart of the community and employs a Principal, 6 Teachers, 1 Special Needs Teacher, Classroom Assistants, Secretary, Building Supervisor, 2 cooks and 2 Lunchtime Supervisory Assistants. 

In our school we have 4 Classrooms and a Specialist Provision Classroom for Early Years and KS1 (The Butterfly Room), alongside a Computer Suite/Library. 

We pride ourselves in providing a caring ethos where pupils and staff are valued and feel confident in their relationship with each other.  We encourage children to give their best and strive to maintain a positive atmosphere in which they can reach their full potential.
