P6 News: Persuasive writing
On Tuesday 8th March 2016 the P6 class looked at persuasive writing. We talked about different ways to word sentences to try and bring people round to your way of thinking. In class Mr Dillon talked about being for or against a statement. He gave us a few examples and asked us to think about how we would convince people to side with our opinion.
Everyone was then divided into two groups. One for and the other against. Mr Dillon wrote on the board should we go to school clubs. The people for had to come up with reasons for going to clubs and the people against had to think of reasons why people should not go to clubs.
Some of our ideas
Against
Why should we go to school clubs when we can do clubs at home.
For
You should go to clubs to learn new things.
There are 9 people for and 9 people against.
