P6 News:- British Heart Foundation Day
On Friday the 5th February 2016 the whole school dressed in red or pink for the British Heart Foundation. We all had to bring in £1 to raise money for the BHF. All the money is going to help people in hospital who are having operations and to anyone who have any other illnesses. Everyone looked amazing! In assembly it looked like a sea of red!!
People were even wearing onsies ,football shirts, rugby shirts, pyjamas and other wonderful ideas. Some people had their face painted! James wore a red pair of trousers and a red t-shirt. Rhiannon wore a super dress and cardigan. Everyone went to a great deal of effort.
The teachers all wore red as well. Mrs Reid had a lovely red cardigan, Mrs Wiener wore a red sweater, Miss Johnston chose to wear a red hoodie, Mrs Brown had a fancy red top on and Mr Dillon wore his red hoodie and Manchester United top! This was not loved by the Liverpool and Arsenal fans.
A friendly doctor called Hannah came in and told us how to keep our hearts healthy and how important it is to keep healthy!! We all got to feel our pulse and heart-beat.
Everyone enjoyed the day and had loads of fun!!! We wonder if maybe a blue day could be arranged for all the Manchester City fans to raise money for sea creatures?
