Day 1 @ Magic Morecambe
Day 1
Kick off 5:30am……….. What can we say……. Slightly cold and bleary eyed pupils, parents and staff gathered to begin what so far can be called a magic trip. The pictures tell a thousand words and at the time of writing this I am glad they do! Energy levels are being stretched to the fullest as we endeavour to explore and absorb all of our action packed activities.
The journey to the boat was filled with a buzz of excitement and plenty of discussion on the lovely treats to nibble on! Some managed to grab a little shut eye, with others preferring to lean against the windows taking everything in.
Boat journey was great. A little wobbly in places, though I doubt if this is the correct nautical term and full of lots of exploration. We attempted to re-enact the famous titanic scene on deck 10 and played dance kinnect on deck 7. Spirits amongst the group were high with everyone looking forward to reaching Morecambe and discovering whom they had the pleasure of sharing a room with.
Dalscone Farm was our half way stop allowing the children to stretch their legs and take in some lovely homemade lunches. This was not your average farm as you can see from the gallery and pics. The Farm proved to be a fantastic stop and we would recommend it to all. Indoor fun followed by a mini Maghera Grand Prix and pedal Safari! Harry McLean took a shine to a lovely goat and generously donated his school council badge to its tummy!
After the fun and laughter of the farm we took our final bus journey of the day to Morecambe. Once the excitement of exploring rooms had finished, the children had a lovely meal and then on to bowling. Aaron Morrell thoughtfully gave everyone a lesson in the finer points of bowling by scoring an amazing 130!!!
A short walk back to the hotel and bed time was calling for all. Cuddly toys, books and torches all in place, we were ready for rest and looked forward to what the next day had to bring.........
