Primary 4 have been learning about Our Senses within the topic of 'Marvellous Me'. the pupils designed and carried out a 'crisp challenge' in class.
The aim was to guess the flavour of a variety of crisps using our Gustatory (taste) cells and our Olfactory (smell) cells. some of the pupils held their noses to check if we needed our sense of smell to help us taste.. we did!
we learnt that our sense of smell is very import to what we taste. if we don't breath in and out through our noses, the smell won't be carried to our smell cells.
we finished off with a feast.. of crisps and have been writing up our investigation in class.
