Primary Three have been enjoying their new topic 'Pirates!' They have been reading lots of stories about famous Pirates and learning lots of new facts about how they lived in their ships on the Caribbean Sea. During Activity Based Learning they have been playing Pirate games, making treasure maps, writing a 'Message in a Bottle!' and having fun in the Pirate ship role play corner!

Primary 3 have also worked together in pairs to build a Pirate ship from junk materials. Once finished, they went outside and tested the ships to see if they could float on the water. The children also enjoyed playing on the outdoor Pirate ship, constructing and building ships, digging for treasure and creating life size Pirates using coloured chalk on the black tarmac!
Shiver me timbers! Argh!
